Dear Readers,
First ... exciting personal news ... Tara, our Office Assistant, had a baby girl recently!!! (25th of May) ... baby and mom are doing well. They now have a wonderful little family of 2 boys and 2 girls! As a result, there will be no emails sent out to our newsletter recipients for the next 5 weeks (approx.)

our new book, YESTERDAYS, is available right here in Victoria, BC, on this website etc. More details below. It is also available as an eBook!

eBooks ... thanks for your patience ... our eBooks...are mainly active now but some (lower) price adjustments etc. will be finalized by Amazon by JUNE 1ST. Joyce has been working diligently to make our books available on the internet in this format. As of June 1st, ALL of our TEN adult novels will be active on Amazon/Kindle ... but don't panic, you don't need a Kindle Reader - see farther down this page for how to get a FREE program for reading Amazon's ebooks on your own computer!!).
As of June 1st all our books will be available at Amazon.com/kindle or look for the 'Kindle Books' tab and search for J Robert Whittle and all our books will come up.
Beginning immediately ... for a LIMITED TIME ONLY ... ALL the Lizzie Series will be priced below $5.00 ea. and the Victoria Chronicles will be priced well below $10.00 ea. If you wish to take advantage of these low prices, you need to do it quickly, because they will be available only for a short time. This is due to the fact that AT THIS PRICE we are actually GIVING AWAY SOME OF THESE BOOKS as Amazon takes 65% commission (plus $2.00 extra /book for Canadians!). So figure out the math ... Amazon is making all the money and we are making mere pennies on these books AT THIS PRICE!! This is an experiment on our part and if it doesn't sell lots of books quickly, this offer will disappear so we're giving YOU, our fans, the benefit but only for the next month approximately!! We are also looking into other ways to make ebooks available that may be more sensible for us!
Due to some issues with formatting for the Kindle-style, this has taken more time than we considered but we have a handle on it now. We are also considering adding the Moonbeam Series (for early readers) to the ebook list.
We waited a long time to do this but apparently ebooks have arrived and are now catching on in a huge way, so we're ready to join the latest book technology craze. (Joyce loves technology!!) I have also been researching other formats, including pdf from our own website (where we can keep low prices but cut out the middle man!) ... so check back here from time to time. When Tara returns, we will look into this further.
FREE Kindle Program ... you DO NOT have to own the Kindle book reading device ($300+), or any other device for that matter. Amazon has a FREE program you can download to read them on your computer, iphone or Blackberry, but don't take my word for it, check before you buy any books. Kindle format is now also read by other book readers, so if you like buying books for much less $$ and/or taking them with you ... YOU SHOULD BE JOINING THE EBOOK REVOLUTION!!!

So once again, thank you for your support and for reading our books - if you live away from our area (Vancouver Island, BC), you can ask your local library (or school library) to purchase our books and we give a 15% discount if they contact us directly. Many BC libraries have at least some of our books already and our fans are happy to learn that in Canada we earn royalties for having our books in as many libraries as possible. We find some readers, who are not familiar with our books, like to check them out first by reading a library copy! Thanks for your help.
